the Young Leaders Program is a free, online leadership program for disabled young people. The program was co-designed by disabled young people and is facilitated by disabled people. Applications are now open for the October round of workshops for 14-19 year olds.
the workshops help equip disabled young people with skills in leadership, teamwork and communication and advocacy. Participants are supported to better understand their strengths and their own access and inclusion needs. After the workshops, graduates get ongoing opportunities and peer mentorship to help them with their goals.
Graduates from past programs have shown that they are more likely to find education opportunities, gain employment and facilitate personal and paid advocacy.
