VMIAC have two exciting PAID opportunities for people with lived experience of psychosocial disability, mental ill health and/or using mental health services who are current NDIS participants or are interested in the NDIS.
What is this project? Navigating My Way is a project run by VMIAC working directly with people with psychosocial disability to make resources and tools to help navigate the NDIS. You can find out more on our website!
What is this opportunity? We have 2 opportunities for people with lived experience to participate, an Advisory Group and a number of Co-design Groups. See more specific details about each of these opportunities below.
Is it paid? Yep! Advisory Group members are paid $280 per meeting for 10 meetings, and Co-design Session attendees are paid $175 for participating in 1x 2-hour session.
When are the important dates? EOIs for both opportunities are open NOW! Advisory Group EOIs close on October 29th and Co-design Session EOIs close on November 19th.
Who can join? To join either of these opportunities, you must:
- Identify as having lived and/or living experience of:
- psychosocial disability;
- mental ill health and/or;
- using mental health services.
- Be a current or past NDIS participant, or someone with an interest in the NDIS.
- Live in Victoria.
- Be aged 18+.

Opportunity 1 – Advisory Group
The Navigating My Way Advisory Group will meet 10 times from December 2023 to May 2025, and oversee and guide the project. There will be 10 members, all of whom will have lived experience, and each will be paid $280 for each meeting they attend. Opportunity 2 – Co-design Groups
Navigating My Way is running 10x Co-design Groups to explore the themes and topics you want us to create resources about. The sessions will go for 2-hours, and have 5 people in them. Participants will be paid $175 for attending. The groups will take place both online and in-person across Victoria, depending on the preference of attendees.
