The City of Melbourne’s Disability Advisory Committee, established in 1999, is an advisory group of people with lived experience of disability that provides strategic advice on policy and practice issues to the City of Melbourne. The committee meets quarterly in March, June, September and November.

You are invited to apply to join the committee if you have an interest in supporting City of Melbourne to reduce barriers and enhance the inclusiveness of our capital city.

We are seeking to fill four vacancies within the committee. We are particularly interested in receiving expressions of interest from:

• People with lived experience of intellectual or cognitive disability
• People with lived experience of deafness or who are hard of hearing (can include a person who is deaf/blind)
• Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people
• People who are trans or gender diverse
• Young people aged 18 to 25 years of age.
