Early Childhood Intervention Association Joint Submission to the NDIS Independent Review on behalf of their members

Many of you may know about the NDIS Independent Review process currently underway to put people with disability back at the centre of the NDIS and restore trust, confidence and pride in the scheme.

Relevant to our sector, findings from the review found that early intervention for children is frequently not based on best practice, and there is not enough support built around families and helping children to be included in their local community.

We recently sought solutions from our members to help provide a unified Joint Submission regarding Priority Area for Improvement No. 4 – Early Childhood Supports.

The question asked was, “What is the best way to support children with disability and those with emerging developmental concerns?”. Thank you to our members who took the time to share their thoughts and solutions with us.
