Doctors say they cut corners to help ‘forgotten children’ with disabilities access NDIS funding

Frustrated doctors have admitted to cutting corners to ensure children with disabilities can access government funding sooner.

Paediatricians have told the ABC they are sometimes bypassing best practice, giving children with developmental delays like autism a diagnosis on the spot, rather than referring them to child assessment teams.
