The position of Data Modeler – Database Administrator forms a part of the Biosecurity and Agriculture Services branch within Agriculture Victoria Group. The Biosecurity and Agriculture Services (BAS) branch designs and delivers services, provides technical advice and influences policy to support the agriculture sector to achieve sustainable growth while managing risks and minimising adverse impacts to the economy, environment and public health and safety.
This position will have you engaged in the day to day maintenance and analysis of our biosecurity databases, actively architecting new data models and designs for system applications and business wide shared data.
The position will support direct access to business analysts and developers to create and improve our data structures and the ownership of them. To provide this, you will develop organizational standards and guideline for data management that is aligned with business requirements, align new and existing systems with a key focus on future proofing data models.
This role will have you actively drive the future data models of our business systems that are currently undergoing review for an uplift to a new platform. Thus, initially you will be a key member to understanding and shaping the future data models we use.Apply now (off-site)
