SDA and SIL – Your home, your life, your choice

About this session

The way we think about housing has changed rapidly with the development of Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), and in relation to supports, Supported Independent Living (SIL).

Join Jamie-Lee Dwyer, Belinda Aitken and Cathy Bucolo, the Summer Foundation’s Lived Experience Team and Clinical Practice Lead to hear their experience of SDA and SIL as they share some hot tips and what they’ve learnt so far.

They’ll talk about the National Disability Insurance Agency’s person-centred approach to planning and decision making as outlined in the ‘Home and Living Supports’ policy, how to apply, what evidence you need, and getting the language right.

This webinar is part of the Advocacy Sector Conversations forum series which provides in depth expert knowledge on topical issues which directly impact on the practice of disability advocacy.
