Person-Centred Emergency Preparedness (P-CEP): A primer for service providers

Are the people you support prepared for an emergency? Every NDIS and aged care provider is required to develop an emergency plan with their clients.

The Person-Centred Emergency Preparedness (P-CEP) planning tool was co-designed with people with disability, services that support them and emergency services. It helps to match emergency planning to the supports that people with disability need.

Learn more about the role that community and disability service providers and advocates play in Person-Centred Emergency Preparedness.

Hosted by Associate Professor Michelle Villeneuve, The University of Sydney and David Craig, Community Development Manager, VALID with special guests:

  • Michelle Moss, Queenslanders with Disability Network, Key ingredients of a person-centred emergency preparedness conversation.
  • Angela Cook, CFA, Victoria, Preparing your client for bushfires – resources for service providers
  • Panel Discussion: Perspectives on leading disability inclusive emergency planning, Peter Tully, Nadia Brady, Bianca Bassett & James Griffiths.
