Inclusive Governance – in theory and in practice

Inclusive Governance refers to the inclusion of people with intellectual disability in the decision-making of community organisations.

Bernadette Curryer, from Side By Side Advocacy, will present preliminary findings of the Inclusive Governance Project. This research project is exploring the way inclusion can best be supported at a Board level.

Samantha Frain will talk about the Northcott Supported Living Lab Committee, and how customers with complex support needs have been recruited and supported in their role as committee members. The outcomes of this committee, for both the individual members and the organisation, will be discussed.
