Co-director of TLConsult

Liz has worked in human resources and financial management across a broad range of industries in the private sector for over 20 years. Liz has a track record in Project and Change Management; she has extensive experience in developing solutions to complex industry change initiatives in the public, private and NGO sector, both in metropolitan and rural contexts.

TLConsult has recently completed two projects through the NDIS Practical Design Fund. One project looked at workforce issues and change management in the disability sector, and resulted in a set of recommendations for providers concerned about upheaval during the transition to the NDIS. The second project was completed in conjunction with the Association for Children with a Disability, and involved the development of a planning tool for people with disabilities, their families and carers. The tool is designed to increase the independence and agency of people with disabilities and their families.

Liz is a parent of a child with a disability, is the past president of the Association of Children with a Disability (ACD), a board member of Children with Disabilities Australia (CDA), a current member of the Victorian Disability Services Board, member of the VHREOC and is the Deputy Chair of the Victorian Disability Advisory Council.

Session

Working for change

Tuesday 5th August, 2014: 1:30am - 2:30am

This session examines the issues that make it difficult for people with a disability to access employment. Geoff Crawford, the Operations Manager at Australians for Disability and Diversity Employment (ADDE), asks the panelists, who all have the lived experience of disability, to expand on what can be done to address legal and attitudinal barriers to greater employment participation.
