Your AT Portal

The World Health Organisation defines assistive technology (AT) as products or systems that enable a person to perform tasks, they would otherwise be unable to do, or which increases the ease and safety with which tasks can be performed.

But how do people with disability know what’s out there and whether it will work for them?

The AT Portal introduces a new way for people with disability to get information about Assistive Technology (AT). It was co-designed with members of the disability community to provide a holistic, person focused, AT decision-making support model.

Visit the AT Portal to:

  • look up the AT Hub,a National Equipment Database where you can find detailed specifications for over 1000 products.
  • connect with AT Navigators, expert AT users with specialised training from a health professional who love supporting their peers.
  • explore AT Discover e-Learning platform for peer-led modules to learn more about a range of AT topics at your own pace.

The AT Portal, Navigators and the e-Learning platform offers people with disability a free space to journey, navigate, and discover the world of AT, and build capacity to make informed decisions.

AT Chat is funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services through an Information, Linkages and Capacity Building Grant.
