The Australian Government has recently re-established its Joint Standing Committee on the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The Hon Kevin Andrews MP is the Chair of the committee.
The committee is inviting individuals, groups and organisations to provide a written submission addressing issues of relevance.
As part of the committee’s role to inquire into the implementation, performance and governance of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), the committee will inquire into and report on Supported Independent Living (SIL), with particular reference to:
a) the approval process for access to SIL;
b) the vacancy management process, including its management and costs;
c) the funding of SIL; and
d) any related issues.
