Grieving parents to fulfil vow to late son at NDIS inquiry

A Tasmanian couple has given evidence before a Federal Government inquiry to fulfil a promise they made to their dying son.

Peter and Beverley Rubenach have not left Tasmania for over 20 years — but today they made a rare trip.

They shared the story of their son Tim, who died while waiting for a tilt-bed and a wheelchair through the NDIS, a delay they believe hastened the 32-year-old’s death.
