Education and Electoral Inclusion Officer

The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) conducts State and local council elections and is responsible for promoting inclusion and participation in Victoria’s democracy, particularly around enrolling and voting.

The Education and Electoral Inclusion Officer is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of innovative electoral education and active citizenship initiatives for school and community groups.

The ideal candidate will have proven education experience, exposure to curriculum development and ideally an understanding of the Civics and Citizenship curriculum. The ability to explain complex ideas in an engaging and creative way to diverse audiences while remaining impartial is highly desirable. An understanding of, and sensitivity to, the complex needs of challenging client groups is key to the success of this role.

This position requires the successful candidate to have a valid driver’s licence, as the role will involve travel throughout the State.
