DANA begins development of an NDIS online Advocate Education Tool

As part of the NDIS Practical Design Fund, DANA has been commissioned to develop an Online NDIS Education Tool for Advocates to assist them in their advocacy work in relation to the NDIS.

DANA has contracted David Craig of Adegget Consulting to seek the advice of people with disabilities and advocates about the tool content. As part of this process, David is consulting with people with disabilities who are not ordinarily in a position to participate in focus groups and who are supported by independent advocates to represent their interests.

Wasabi Creative has been engaged to develop the technical aspects of the Tool, and a reference group of people with disabilities, advocates, advocacy organisation managers, IT and training specialists has been engaged to oversight the Tool development.

The NDIS Education Tool is expected to become available online on 31 May 2013.
