Office of the Public Advocate

The Victorian Office of the Public Advocate (OPA) promotes the rights, interests and dignity of people with disability (specifically intellectual impairment, mental illness, brain injury, physical disability or dementia) living in Victoria.

Provides guardianship and advocacy for people with disability when appointed by VCAT and supports people with disability in the justice system, group homes/supported accommodation or receiving treatment in a mental health facility.
