Presented by: Rosie Granland, Our Right to Safety Resources Project Officer and Amanda McCartney, Spotlight on Invisible Women Project Officer, Women with Disabilities Victoria (WDV)
WDV have long promoted best practice in supporting women with disability to recognise abuse, stay safe and seek support if they experience violence. This session gives advocates the opportunity to view and discuss the ‘Our Right to Safety and Respect’ video and its accompanying Video Guide, which has been produced in a variety of accessible formats.
This webinar is part of the Advocacy Sector Conversations forum series. It’s happening online this time due to the social distancing measures brought on by the Corona virus. The sessions are spread across the week rather than a whole day of back to back sessions.
For more information about the other sessions in the series, visit:
- Supporting people with cognitive disabilities to access supported decision making in contracts for goods and service
- Improving interactions and communication with people with little or no speech
Note: This session replaces the ‘Changes to Access Parking Permit legislation’ session that has been postponed till later in the year.
