Colleen Furlanetto has significant experience in the health and local government sectors. Colleen worked as a registered nurse for 20 years, working in acute, aged care, disability and general practice. As Disability Commissioner for Commercial Passenger Vehicles Victoria, Colleen’s focus is on accessibility matters.

She was an elected representative of the Strathbogie Shire from 2008 – 2016, and was appointed Mayor in her final year.

Colleen is a Williamson Community Leadership Alumni (2015), and a Fairley Leadership Fellow in (2010).

Other current appointments are Chair, Victorian Disability Advisory Council for Minister Martin Foley; Deputy Chair, Women’s Health Goulburn North East; and Committee member, CFA District 22 Planning committee and North East Inclusion and Fairness Council.

Colleen is passionate about policy and reform in the disability and accessibility sectors, which includes being an advocate for people with a disability and senior Victorians.
